MTIRALA NATIONAL PARK

Mtirala National Park is located in the gorge of the river Chakvistskali, in the village of Chakvistavi. Its total area is 15698.8 hectares. It is the most abundant rainfall area in Eastern Europe. Mtirala National Park has been granted UNESCO World Natural Heritage status due to its unique Colchian forest and rare nature. One- and two-day tourist routes can be planned here. The paths are marked and landscaped. Picnic and camping places are arranged. The waterfall, whose height exceeds 12 meters, surrounded by the Buxus Colchica (Colchis Bza) and ivy is worth to see. Also walking about 1 km from the waterfall, you will find flowing, transparent, trout-rich lake in which flows river running between the rocks. Eco, adventure and science tours can be arranged on Mtirala.
